Jane Merer Alexander
Jane Merer Alexander originally studied
at The Byam Shaw School of Art in London.
In 2001, after time spent as a
journalist and mother, Jane began retraining at The Prince of Wales'
Drawing School where it was an enormous privilege to be taught by
artists Francis Hoyland, Andy Pankhurst, Will Topley, Susan Wilson
and Leonard McComb.
Since then she has exhibited her
pictures at:

Jane Merer Alexander is interested in
making portraits (using charcoal and pastel and sometimes oil or
tempera), etching, still life, and life drawing which is a wonderful
meditative activity. She is fascinated by icons and those paintings
and murals which have been venerated as well as appreciated for
hundreds of years.
