ben ecclestone

Ben Ecclestone studied at Canterbury Regional College of Art and combines painting with adult art teaching. His paintings are based primarily on the human figure in motion with much of the stimulus coming from dance and athletics. Ben says “the paintings are essentially celebrations of strength, beauty, power and grace”. He works in two mediums, gouache and pastel on paper, and in acrylic and pastel on cotton duck canvas. Both combinations are worked on a constantly wet surface. Sizes vary from 35cm upwards.
