Christina Gestra

Christina Gestra studied Landscape Architecture at Edinburgh College of Art between 1995 and 1999. As a landscape architect, Christina has worked on many high profile projects in both London and Holland, but always finds time to devote to her photography.

Christina's approach to photography often involves building up layers of subtle textural images by taking multiple exposures on one frame. Her strong sense of design and eye for architectural detail is often evident in her compositions. Christina takes objects out of their usual context, creating unusual forms from everyday things, and playing with scale to create large images from macro photographs.
