marian rushton architectural illustrations Trained as an interior designer, Marian Rushton’s interest in architecture and architectural detail and ornament became a passion while she was living in France in the 1980’s and began to record some of the chateaux and other remarkable buildings to be found there. Following successful exhibitions of her work in France and Canada, Marian began to receive commissions from private individuals and from museums, galleries and heritage sites worldwide. Her client list includes the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York; Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania; St Paul’s Cathedral in London and Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire. Marian’s commissions for commercial clients are generally for reproduction as prints and for application to merchandise for the retail shop. She retains both the original artwork and the copyright and now has a substantial collection of such pieces and of the many other subjects that have inspired her. The pictures shown are all framed and can be purchased by contacting the artist. Marian will be abroad between May and October 2008 but messages will be forwarded from the following UK number: 01834-831-367 Marian’s accepts both private and commercial commissions. |
