Vanessa Bell Limited Edition Prints

Vanessa Bell Prints:

Vanessa Bell was an English painter and interior designer, member of the Bloomsbury group and sister of famed writer Virginia Woolf.

Born in London in 1879, Vanessa was educated at home by her parents until it was time to begin art college. She attended Sir Arthur Cope's art school in 1896,and then studied painting at the Royal Academy in 1901. After the deaths of her parents she moved with her three siblings to Bloomsbury, where they socialised with poets, writers and artists. This was the beginning of the Bloomsbury Group.

In 1911 she married Clive Bell and had two sons. However, throughout her life Vanessa Bell had many lovers including painter Duncan Grant and art critic Roger Fry. Shortly before the outbreak of the First World War, Bell and family (along with Duncan and his lover) moved to Charleston Farmhouse near Firle, Sussex. Here she painted, and again entertained the creative personalities of the era.

These beautiful and highly collectible Limited Edition prints are produced on the highest quality 310gsm cotton rag paper and each print is hand-numbered and embossed.
