The Royal Academy's artist David Roberts (1796 - 1864) specialised in ornate architectural illustrations of scenes he encountered on his travels, and here you will find a fantastic array of Ancient Egypt art prints by David Roberts, as well as the anonymous pair of prints depicting Egyptian Temples taken from the book 'Description D'Egypt' published in 1820. Below you will see David Roberts prints of the ruins of Ancient Egypt and the Holy Land, including wonders such as the Sphinx, the Pyramids of Gizeh, and many of Egypt's Great Temples such as Philae, Baalbec, Dendra and the Temple of Aboosimble. It is not hard to see why his most popular art prints are the astoundingly intricate Under the Grand Portico and Temple of Dendra, which both look fantastic in our traditional gold frame.
