These exquisite original art on paper by artists Jeremy Cangialosi and Patience Eades are perfect for adding style and colour to a living room, restaurant or office. Jeremy Cangialosi was born in Rochester, England and spent much of his childhood in the Middle East. He studied art at Croydon College, and then the Slade School of Fine Art in London. Jeremy paints with acrylics, watercolours and enamel. He says of his technique: "I always look for new techniques to make new marks and lines or shapes with paint. I often overlap shapes and line to give a feeling of depth and belonging to the work". He draws his inspiration from artists Piet Mondrian, Ben Nicolson and the natural world. Patience Eades was born in Lewisham, and like Jeremy went on to study at the Slade. She was interested in painting at an early age, as both of her parents were painters, her father being a notable landscape painter. Patience uses a variety of media including acrylic, collage, watercolours and pencil, her inspiration coming from a natural elements such as autumn leaves, stone and wood. She describes the process of creating these original works on paper as "using layers of texture and soaking them with colour, using metallic lines and shapes to divide and join the compositions". When not painting or designing, she is kept busy bringing up her four children.

About Originals on Paper:   These originals on paper are each individually produced by hand, and is therefore unique. Jeremy describes how they are created:

"We size the paper and fix it onto a wooden panel to make it easy to work on. We then spread onto the paper a special pulp that becomes very absorbent when dry. We press the pulp with fabrics, rag and canvas to give it texture and individuality. With some of the pieces we use carved blocks or lace to achieve the patterns".

Each original on paper is then signed and dated in pencil by the artist just below the image.
             
    Framed using our Traditional Gold Frame and Ivory Mount   These paintings look particularly good when framed using metallic coloured frames and pale mounts.

Framing:  

The advantage of the originals on paper range is that they can be framed to your own specifications. They are provided with an extra-thick white mount (other colours available in the regular thickness), and you can chose from our range of frames seen on our framing page. However, we can recommend the 'Traditional' style frame in either gold or silver, as these frames perfectly complement the foils and iridescent paints in these pictures. If you would like any advise regarding framing, do not hesitate to give us a call.

Please note that these paintings are created to order, and take around two weeks. All frames are hand made to order, and take around ten working days. Please allow 3-4 weeks for framed art on this page.
