What is a giclee print?  

The term Giclee comes from the French word which literally means 'to squirt'. It refers to the way in which a superior Giclee or 'Iris' ink jet printer applies tiny dots of ink to the paper to create an image. The Giclee process allows the artist to reproduce paintings, photographs and digital artworks to the highest quality, and often indistinguishable from the original. All prints seen on this website marked 'Giclee' are produced on the finest archival grade photography and artist's papers with UV resistant pigmented inks to minimise fading. However, any artwork (original or reproduction) will be affected if displayed in direct sunlight for an extended period of time, particularly if it is unframed.
