The Fine Art Company is a popular website receiving several thousand visitors every day, usually these visitors are looking to buy framed or unframed prints and posters and this is how we make our money. However, while browsing through our reproductions customers will often  take the time to look at the work of original artists, in particular Corporate clients who may require original art for reception areas, boardrooms, etc while using reproductions throughout the rest of the building. 

We are always interested in artists who wish to submit works to our online gallery. Customers contact you directly so that you can negotiate a sale and therefore we do not ask for any form of commission. Instead, we make a small annual charge to create and display a web page dedicated to you and your art. This charge is £49.95 per annum for a web page showing up to 5 pictures, and additional pictures are charged a £3.60 each.

On average our original artists receive in the order of 500 page views per month (6000 per year). We hope this will increase as we add more artists and this section becomes bigger and attracts more interest.

If you are an artist wishing to submit your artworks, our procedure is outlined below.

In the first instance send us digital images of not less than 5 works in .tif or jpeg format (on disk or by email). Alternatively you can send transparencies, colour photographs or prints. Do not send the original artwork. Please state clearly the title, price, medium and the exact size of each work. If the work is abstract please send your picture the right way up. Include a brief biography of yourself, have you studied for a B.A. or M.A. if so where? Where have you exhibited? What motivates and influences your work? What value would you expect to receive for each work? We need to gain an understanding of you and your approach to your art, and buyers are often keen to learn more about the artists behind the work.

Once we receive your details we will contact you to confirm their safe arrival. If we decide that your work is not suitable for our site we will write to you.

Each work of art is considered carefully. If we are interested in your work we will use the information you have sent us to produce a web page for you to approve. Once the web page has been approved by you we will send you an invoice, when payment has been received your work will be available for customers to see when they visit the Fine Art Company Website.
