British printmaker, designer and artist Edward Bawden produced this lino cut of iconic Brighton Pier in Sussex in 1958. In his instantly recognisable style, Bawden depicts the pier flanked by fishing boats and the domes of Brighton Pavilion on the left along with Regency houses on the righthand side.
Bawden was an incredibly diverse artist and aside from his lino-cut prints he produced watercolour paintings, wallpaper designs, posters, murals and book jackets.
We have an impressive range of fine art prints featuring Sussex scenes here at The Fine Art Company and you might also be interested in the Brighton prints featuring both the Pavilion and Pier by Colin Ruffell, Sean Sims and Kelly Hall.
