War and Peace Print by Picasso
Pablo Picasso worked on his iconic War and Peace murals for a deconsecrated chapel in the Communist-governed village of Vallauris, Southern France between 1951 and 1952. Titled after Leo Tolstoy’s Napoleonic epic, they were his largest political works since the end of the Second World War. He produced over two hundred drawings and studies for War and Peace, and this depiction of a resting woman is one of his best known and most popular. This 'War and Peace' Silk screen Print is one of our bestselling rare Picasso prints available from The Fine Art Company.
