Vanessa Bell Prints
Artist Vanessa Bell (1879 to 1961) is one of the most celebrated female British artists of her era. She studied at the Royal Academy of Art in London and she became a pivotal member of the Bloomsbury Group and a key figure in 20th century art. Her Modernist paintings were seen as radical thanks to her unique approach to colour, form and abstraction. Her paintings were exhibited alongside those of Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse in a Post-Impressionist exhibition at Grafton Galleries in London. Bell also produced textiles, ceramics and co-founded the innovative artists's decorative art workshop 'The Omega Workshop' in 1913. However, in her lifetime Vanessa Bell was somewhat overshadowed by her little sister, Virginia Woolfe as well as her complicated personal relationships with other members of the Bloomsbury Group. Bell lived at Charleston Farm House at the foot of the South Downs in Firle outside Lewes, East Sussex.
The Fine Art Company offers a unique collection of beautifully produced Vanessa Bell Prints in both limited and open edition including 'Girl Reading' and 'The Schoolroom' art prints. We also offer fine art prints by her contemporary Duncan Grant in our Bloomsbury Collection.
