This book of Oil Paintings was published by the artist Willi Kissmer in 2005. It has a hard cover and is brand new though with an indentation on the back (courtesy of the artist!). It does not come with a jacket. This beautifully produced book is Illustrated with photographs of Willi Kissmer's figurative oil paintings. 'Malerei' is signed in pencil by Kissmer with name only to the title page. The text in this book is in both English and German and features two essays about Willi's work accompanied by 14 colour reproductions of oils. These are followed by Willi's selection of a further 73 favourite and important artworks chronologically presented from the period 1980-2005. Included also are two black and white photographs of Willi Kissmer working in his studios in both Germany and France and a rare photo from 1992 of Willi and Beate in his German studio. Sadly Willi Kissmer died in July 2018. No more copies of this book will be forthcoming.
